Why are you changing your name?
We spun-off from The Brink's Company in October, 2008 and are now a separate publicly traded company. As a result, we're changing our brand name from Brink's Home Security to Broadview Security. Our new name better reflects the wide range of services that we offer you for your home and business. The Brink's Company granted us a license to use the Brink's Home Security brand in connection with our business in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico for up to three years after the spin-off.Why aren't you changing the name of Brink's Home Security Holdings, Inc.?
While we're changing our brand name to Broadview Security effective today, the name of the public company must stay the same until the shareholders vote to adopt the change in 2010.What's the official plan for changing your name?
Effective June 30, 2009, Brink's Home Security changed its brand name to Broadview Security. We'll operate our home and business security services under this new brand name. We'll start a national advertising campaign to build awareness for the new name; however you shouldn't notice any changes in our services or systems. Our monitoring, customer care, billing processes, and other procedures all remain the same. Our service and our commitment to the safety of your family, home, and business remain the same. We're committed to "Creating Customers for Life," and therefore our NYSE symbol won't change from CFL. In terms of our public company name, our shareholders will vote to adopt the corporate name change.How was Broadview Security chosen?
Last year, we hired Landor, a top-tier branding agency, to help us develop our new name and brand. As part of Landor's research and development process, we involved employees and customers to help us determine the key elements of our organization, our brand and our legacy that are essential to who we are. In addition, Landor conducted external market research to ensure the brand resonates with suppliers, partners, customers, and other external audiences. Finally, we tested and narrowed down our choices. Then, Broadview Security was selected.We're very excited about our new name and the opportunities and flexibility a new brand brings. Over time, we'll roll out the new brand on all of our materials. In the meantime, the way you're billed won't change and our rates won't increase as a result of the new brand name.Will I need to change any of my EasyPay settings, OR if I have bill pay set up through my personal bank, do I need to change any of the settings?
Although you'll begin to see Broadview Security on your bank statements soon, you won't need to change any information in order to make a payment initially. In the near future, your bill pay information will need to be updated with our new company name.How do I get new yard signs, window decals and keypads?
The equipment, keypad, yard sign, and all other parts of the system are still valid. New yard signs and decals, with the Broadview Security shield, are available online at mybroadview.com.How will I know if someone really works for Brink's Home Security or Broadview Security?
For your protection, if anyone visits you to talk about the system or service, please ask for identification. We do not send representatives to your door without the proper identification. During our transition to the new name, our employees will wear both Brink's and Broadview attire, so you'll be able to recognize them under the old name as well as the new one.Will coupons with the Brink's Home Security brand be valid with Broadview Security if they have not expired?
